Brit MkII TB86 is based on some of our favorite British amps built by Jennings Musical Instruments (JMI) in the late '50s and early '60s. The latest Brit comes equipped with both the legendary Pentode (EF86) channel and the signature Top Boost channel. The Brit MkII is also equipped with an EZ81 rectifier tube. This tube adds an amazing feel and complexity to cathode bias amps running two EL84 power tubes. The tone, playability and design details of the Brit MkII are very reminiscent of early JMI amps. Operation is whisper quiet when compared to vintage JMI amps. Brit's have more ventilation than the original "toaster oven" amps for cooler, more efficient operation. The Brit MkII TB86 is a great all-around British voiced amp with that certain sound and feel we all enjoy so much.

The Top Boost Channel has a bright, crisp and vibrant tone with amazing clarity, signature midrange snarl and musical bottom end. The Treble and Bass controls are very flexible and extremely interactive. Cleans are tight and focused. When overdriven the TB channel has a beautiful texture and authority. This channel cuts through a thick band mix with ease. The TB channel also provides enough drive to push most guitars over the top into classic rock crunch and crang.

The EF86 Pentode Channel found in the original AC15 and AC30/4 has been added to the Brit MkII line up. The pentode circuit has a very unique sound and feel. It gives up a very juicy tone with incredible touch sensitivity. Clean tones are complex and full-range. When pushed into drive this channel shows even more complexity. It breathes like no other circuit. The Pentode channel has a beautiful deep and round bottom end with a tight focused midrange. The top end is smooth with excellent clarity, complex harmonics and incredible detail.

The Brit MkII TB86 has an EF86 Pentode circuit and a very slightly modified Top Boost circuit. The TB86 comes with the original JMI Brilliant switch standard. This switch can be modified to each player's specifications by request. This is the best all-around Brit to date. The two most sought after JMI circuits in one small box! This amp sounds like the real deal at very decent volume levels. The TB86 is a great club and studio amp that will cover the most sought after JMI tones. The TB86 is equipped with: 1 EF86 and 3 12AX7 preamp tubes, two EL84 power tubes and an EZ81 rectifier.

The Brit MkII is built with the very best parts available: Celestion "Blue" made in England speaker standard, Mercury Magnetics voltage correct transformers, NOS EF86 preamp tube (very limited), Sozo Mustard capacitors, PEC mil spec 2 watt sealed pots, mil spec Teflon wire, F&T and Sprague electrolytic capacitors. Xicon 1 watt carbon film resistors.
